3 : 1
The new Tottenham stadium, often referred to in reference to the previous club venue as “New White Hart Lane,” makes a huge impression. Monumental, multifunctional, thoroughly modern, it can accommodate more than 60 thousand spectators. The value of the investment is said to have exceeded one billion pounds. The Spurs had been planning to design the stadium for several years, and finally, construction work began in 2015 and lasted for 4 years – the official opening took place on April 3, 2019.
In the match against West Ham United, I kept my fingers crossed for the visitors, because their goal was guarded by Łukasz Fabiański. After the equalizing goal to make it 1:1, there was a glimmer of hope for a good result for the Hammers, but shortly thereafter it faded, and the hosts fully controlled the game, with Kane and Son at the forefront. 3:1 is still quite a lenient punishment.
At the match, a very large group of Korean fans appeared – it is known that Son’s good performance in Tottenham gives the club a nice promotion throughout Asia. I slyly asked a few of them which Korea they came from: North or South. They dismissed the question with laughter, which clearly indicates that they have a sense of humor.
I certainly will not hesitate to visit the stadium in the northern part of London again.
